see it in the form of a credit report.
Credit reports
are one of the primary
tools that creditors use to make fair and accurate decisions
on whether or not to grant credit. Your credit report is
a snapshot of your financial trustworthiness. You have the
right to dispute your credit report data.
There are two types of credit reports, a consumer version
and a business version.
Consumer
Version
You are the only one who has access to the consumer version.
Creditors do not have access to this version. A consumer
version of a credit
report lists all inquiries including promotional inquiries
and account management inquiries. It is important for you
to know what is in your credit report and understand your
consumer rights.
Business
Version
The business version is an abbreviated version of the consumer
version. This is the credit report that creditors do see.
The business version does not contain promotional inquiries
or account management inquires.
